General rule is not to stress inflamed joints. I would say gentle range of
motion exercises are important to do even if you have to work through some
pain. But listen to your body concerning weight bearing and resistance
exercise. If it hurts, don't do it. I always adapt my yoga to what is going
on in my body. Often I can do a normal practice and at other times I take
it easy.
