Dale got the PC moved upstairs today for me, so I'm able to chat with everyone.
And, boy, I'm ready! I'm doing much better.
It was/still is rough - but if the worst is over, then I lucked out I think!
I'm doing really well. Pain is terrible off and on, and I HAVE to keep my every
4 hour doses up, or I can't get up out of bed... I even started setting an alarm
to get me up for them. But, the surgeon said my pain is probably so much worse
than normal because they did all three - the RNY, the gallbladder, and the
hernia fix... and they used the rib spreader - and my incision is very high.
But, no complications (except for those blisters on my back where I broke out
from the binder) - so THANK GOD!!!!
I'm tired, but can't sleep very well. Can't stay comfortable in one position
for very long. And, due to the sciatic problem, can't sleep in the recliner
like I'd hoped. However, with everything else, I can't complain at all.
Drinking just fine, walking great, getting my shakes and vitamins in - all the
good stuff. No nausea, no vomiting, medicines sitting well. Had a little scare
yesterday when my PICC Line started bleeding, but we got it to stop quickly, and
they're taking it out tomorrow.
Well, other than that, I stay on the same: sleep, drink, walk regimen. I have
an appt with the nutritionalist Friday, surgeon and PT next week. I've got
angel friends and family helping me with the boys so I never am by myself with
them. Jack probably wouldn't be a problem, but you know Quinn! Please e-mail
me! Katie
