Re: fear of failure

Just curious to know why you are having the surgery. Is it because
of health reasons only?
That is great that you are comfortable with who you are on the
outside but you will still be the same person on the inside after
surgery. It doesn't change that. It may change your confidence
levels or your approach to things but you will still be the same
person.
I know that I always felt like my fat hid me from the world when in
fact it made me more visible and vulnerable.
Having lost 123 LBS now I can honestly say that I was never
comfortable in the body I was in no matter how much I wanted to be.
The fat did not protect me from any hurt or harm and all it did was
hurt and harm me more...Physically and emotionally.
I no longer feel shame and pain when I walk into a room. I no longer
feel embarassed for my husband out in public when we are together. I
used to avoid public places or going anywhere with my husband just
because *I* felt embarassed for him even though he said he was never
embarassed.
I hope this answers the questions you asked Kerry! My best to you!
