Re: Need some more help, please
This is normal at the stage you are at. Your pouch takes months to
heal. Right now it is still very tender and swollen. You will not be
able to eat "normally" for a long long time.
You have already solved part of your problem on your own here by
recognizing that you need to chew VERY slowly and take very small
bites.
Introduce one new food at a time to your very tender new pouch just
like you would introduce food to a baby.
As time goes on it won't be as bad and you will get used to eating a
certain way and it will become second nature to you. In the
beginning it is a LOT of trial and error. Just remember that you
have been through MAJOR surgery and you need to be patient with
yourself and give it all time to heal.
You will soon feel so much better. Right around week 7 or 8 I think
I felt a huge difference and the weight just kept melting off for
those first 6 months so it was a very exciting time.
Enjoy your accomplishments and make sure to reward yourself for all
the good things and all the milestones you will be seeing along the
way.
My best to you!
